Saturdays Of Self Discovery
Alternate Saturdays at Northridge are strictly reserved for non academic development. On these days the text books are put aside and the day is devoted to one of Self Discovery, both in the child’s aptitude and value systems.
STEM
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM is important because it pervades every part of our lives. Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of roads and bridges, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field. A curriculum that is STEM-based has real-life situations to help the student learn. Programs like Engineering. For Kids integrates multiple classes to provide opportunities to see how concepts relate to life in order to hopefully spark a passion for a future career in a STEM field. STEM activities provide hands-on and minds-on lessons for the student. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the student to do much more than just learn.
Culinary arts
One of the greatest benefits of letting kids cook is the sense of achievement and self-sufficiency that they experience. More importantly, they are likely to be less picky about eating food if they have helped to prepare it.
Math skills come into play too and cooking can be a great source of practical exercise for children to learn about arithmetic, fractions, decimals, geometry and time management. The kitchen is a great place to get kids interested in science too. Ask them to guess what might happen during the cooking process and demonstrate simple chemical reactions such as changes between solids, liquids and gases, dissolving, emulsions, crystallization and more.
Personal Discovery & Skill Development
Skill-set demands are changing much faster than those our standard curriculums can keep up with. Even as recently as 5 years ago, lucrative career options such as App Developers or Social Media Optimizers were unheard of but are in high demand now. A scholastic education must allow children to dip their feet into various areas until they find the field they have the aptitude for and can succeed in.
RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
Skill development and intelligence are not nearly enough. Children at Northridge participate in modules which not only facilitate the process of self discovery but also teach them life skills which the standard curriculums ignore as well. Students learn values and integrity, including the now almost totally forgotten virtues of compassion and charity among others.

The Hearth Education Advisors has developed a Design Programme in collaboration with RSA in India.
The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) – LAMDA is an independent drama school, dedicated to the vocational training of actors, stage managers and technicians, directors and designers in the skills and levels of creativity necessary to meet the highest demands and best opportunities in theatre, film, radio and TV.
LAMDA’s authorised representatives offer tailored teacher training and short courses in India.
Football One – The Hearth Education Advisors has arrangements with the Soccer Academies of some of the leading football clubs of Europe. The After Schools Programme in Football aims to provide young boys and girls from the age of 5 to 14 with football training. The transfer of European clubs’ know-how will enable youngsters to turn their dreams into reality and wear the shirt of some of the big names in world football.
